With the murder of George Floyd the country has had an awakening that Black lives matter and that has also been felt on Broadway. With this awakening non-profit organizations have begun to look after the rights of Blacks on Broadway on many levels. These organizations: Black Theatre United (BTU), Broadway Advocacy Coalition (BAC), Black Theatre Coalition (BTC), and Black Theatre Network (BTN) are there to make sure that there is inclusion, access, and fairness in all aspects of Broadway. They also deal with immigration and criminal justice issues. Founding representatives from those groups will be on hand to talk about why they started, when, what they have accomplished thus far and what are their goals for the future when it comes to Blacks on Broadway and how they have been received by the Broadway community.
