Olga Merediz is known for originating the role of Abuela Claudia in Broadway's In the Heights for which she received a Tony nomination. She has appeared in numerous TV shows. She was last seen in "Brooklyn Nine Nine" on Fox, Disney's movie "Stuck at Christmas" and "Madame Secretary" ( CBS). Also: "Custody" (a James Lapine film) on Lifetime. She just finished shooting a TV series in London called "Bounty Hunters" for Sky1. She is recurring in Orange is the New Black on Netflix as well as NBC's "Shades of Blue." Other Broadway credits: Reckless (MTC), Mama Mia (Rosie), Man of La Mancha (original Revival cast), Les Miserables, The Human Comedy. Some of her favorite films she's been in: "The Place Beyond the Pines," "Music of the Heart," "Evita" among others.
