Internationally recognized and celebrated society editor and photo journalist Audrey J. Bernard is the premier chronicler of African-American happenings nationwide. Ms. Bernard has written for many newspapers and received many awards for journalistic excellence. For the past 25 years she has covered events for the New York Beacon newspaper where she pens her signature column Audrey’s Society Whirl. She has covered Broadway and Off Broadway under her Theater Talk weekly column that has garnered her a place on the Broadway League’s prestigious First Night list. The native Brooklyn, New York resident attended Brooklyn College. Ms. Bernard resided in France for close to ten years. She now resides in Manhattan, New York. She is a member in good standing of the New York Association of Black Journalists. In December 2015, she received a Proclamation from Congressman Charles B. Rangel declaring December 7th “Audrey J. Bernard Day” in Manhattan.
