Ron Russell

RON RUSSELL (Executive Director & Co-Founder, Epic Theatre Ensemble). After founding theatres in Ohio, San Diego, and Louisiana, Ron came to NYC as Education Director at Theatre for a New Audience. where he administered one of the nation’s most in-depth Shakespeare education programs for over 25,000 students during his tenure. His work there led him to spearhead the co-founding of Epic, where he has directed 15 Off-Broadway productions (including Kate Fodor’s Hannah and Martin and Nilaja Sun’s Pike St.), 14 REMIX productions, and over 35 workshops and touring productions Dominique Morisseau’s MEND, and Epic NEXT’s “10467.” His teaching experience ranges across over 50 sites, from public high schools to New York University to assisted-living facilities.
