Alex Neuman

Alex Neumann is a sound designer living in New York City. He works extensively as an associate sound designer on Broadway, including work with both Scott Lehrer, and John Gromada. Recent Broadway shows include: M. Butterfly, Hello, Dolly!, Shuffle Along, Fiddler on the Roof, and The King and I, as well as the upcoming production of Carousel. His designs have been featured at The American Repertory Theatre, The Huntington Theatre, Hartford Stage, The Alley Theatre, LaJolla Playhouse, and Williamstown Theatre Festival, amongst others. Alex has also sound designed for such events as the The Drama Desk Awards (The Town Hall: 2017) and A Salute to the U.S. Presidential Scholars (Kennedy Center: 2016, 2017). Alex has an undergraduate degree in Music from SUNY Potsdam, specializing in viola, and a Masters of Fine Arts from Boston University in Sound Design. Alex is a proud member of both United Scenic Artists Local #829, and IATSE local #ACT.
