David Mendizábal is a director, designer and one of the Producing Artistic Leaders of The Movement Theatre Company. He is also Artistic Associate at the Atlantic Theater Company. Directing credits include: And She Would Stand Like This by Harrison David Rivers, choreographed by Kia LaBeija (The Movement), On the Grounds of Belonging by Ricardo Pérez González (The Public/Public Studio); Tell Hector I Miss Him by Paola Lázaro (Atlantic); Evensong by Christina Quintana (APAC); Locusts Have No King by J. Julian Christopher (INTAR); Look Upon Our Lowliness by Harrison David Rivers and Bintou by Kofffi Kwahule (The Movement). David is a Founding Member and Artistic Producer of The Sol Project, member of the Latinx Theatre Commons Steering Committee, and member of the Rattlestick Literary Team. Alumnus of The Drama League Director's Project, Lincoln Center Theater Director's Lab, LAByrinth Theatre Company Intensive Ensemble, NALAC Leadership Institute, and artEquity.
