Chaz Wolcott is an actor, director and choreographer based in New York City. Chaz is best known for playing the role of Buttons in Disney’s Newsies both on the 1st National Tour and in the filmed version. Chaz was a featured contestant on the last season of "So You Think You Can Dance." Other theatrical credits include: National Tour of Cats (Mistoffelees), 42nd Street (Andy Lee), Mary Poppins (u/s Bert), Gypsy, Legally Blonde, and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. Chaz currently serves on faculty at Broadway Dance Center, The Broadway Collective, Streetz Dance Convention & Dancers Responding to AIDS. Recently, Chaz has directed and choreographed for BCEFA’s Gypsy of the Year on Broadway, and regional productions of Crazy for You, Newsies, Cats, and Mary Poppins.
