Dale Cendali is a partner in Kirkland & Ellis's New York office and is head of Kirkland's Copyright, Trademark, Internet and Advertising Practice Group. Part of her practice focuses on IP issues in the theatre, stemming from her days as President of the Yale Dramatic Association and summer jobs at the O’Neill and Circle in the Square. She has litigated various Broadway cases, including Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles, and, most recently, Anastasia on Broadway. She also helped secure Martha Graham’s dance legacy in a trial victory for the Martha Graham Dance Center. Dale is an investor in various Broadway shows and is on the Board of Trustees of the American Theatre Wing - which means she’s a Tony Voter. Dale is also an adjunct professor at Harvard Law School, teaching Copyright and Trademark Litigation.
