Judine Somerville was seen in NBC’s production of "Hairspray Live" reprising her role from the original Broadway musical with fellow original Dynamites Kamilah Marshall & Shayna Steele. She is the Creator and Founder of JustJudine, a unique Motivational Dance Wellness Movement that Inspires, Empowers, and Educates individuals through the Performing Arts, with a spotlight on Dance. All the while planting seeds of Self-Love, Self- Esteem, Self- Confidence, Respect, Joy & Hope.

She is currently on faculty at the Ailey School in New York City, and is part of the Ailey where she teaches Theatre Dance during the Summer Intensive. These classes culminate in a performance on the stage with full lighting, costumes, makeup and wigs. She has earned the title of Ambassador of The Arts & Life by Colleagues, Educators , and Youth around the country. Her infectious Energy, Honesty, and Spirit is a testament to the difference she has made in the lives of others through the Arts.

On Broadway, Judine was part of the original cast and singing trio sensation The Dynamites, in the Tony Award winning musical Hairspray. Other Broadway credits include: On the Town, The Life, Crazy for You, and Late Nite Comic. National Tours: Barry Manilow’s Copacabana and Jekyll and Hyde. Television appearances include: Opening ceemonies of the Rose Bowl Parade, MTV's "...Made," "The Today Show," "The View," "Judge Hatchett," "Good Morning America," and more.

Special events include: Recipient of the STEPHEN GOLDBERG ART of CHANGE AWARD, Former Rockette at Radio City Music Hall. Performing on the Red Carpet at the Grammy Awards, Anthem Singer at Madison Square Garden, F.Lammot Belin Arts Scholarship - First Dancer to ever win the award in it’s 45 year history. 

While performing in Hairspray, Judine was the recipient of the prestigious Gypsy Robe, awarded to the ensemble member who has performed in the most Broadway Musicals. She is honored to be a part of an amazing group of “Gypsies” who have received this honor.
