Sharon Eberson has live in Gene Kelly's hometown of Pittsburgh for nearly 40 years, but she is from Flatbush, where she grew up loving sports and the arts, and studied art, literature and journalism. She was research editor on six books by Stan Fischler and writer-editor of Action Sports Hockey magazine, among other feature writing in NYC. She headed west in 1980, as the first female sports writer at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. She was a reporter and editor in sports until 1992, when she became first the Post-Gazette’s Sunday Magazine editor, and then the Arts & Entertainment editor for six years. When the Internet came along, she became what was then a Web embed for the features department, while also covering theater. For the past six years, she has been an online editor, theater critic and arts and pop culture reporter for the Post-Gazette.
