Michael Rubinoff is a Toronto based producer who conceived the story depicted in Come From Away as a musical. In 2011 he established the Canadian Music Theatre Project (CMTP), an international incubator for the development of new musicals at Sheridan College, where he produced and developed the first workshops of Come From Away. He serves as a producer and the creative consultant for productions worldwide. He currently is the Producing Artistic Director of the CMTP and former Associate Dean of Canada's leading music theatre performance program at Sheridan. He has been recognized as a leader in post-secondary arts education. In 2018 he was awarded the Meritorious Service Cross by the Governor General of Canada for his role in developing Come From Away. He is a graduate of Western University's law school and a member of the Ontario Bar. @mrubinoff
