Alex Timbers is a two-time Tony-nominated director and writer and the recipient of the 2019 Drama League Founders Award for Excellence in Directing. Credits include Moulin Rouge! The Musical, John Mulaney: Kid Gorgeous at Radio City for Netflix, Peter and the Starcatcher, Beetlejuice, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, and Here Lies Love. Alex’s work on Moulin Rouge! The Musical is dedicated to the memory of his late collaborator and friend Michael Friedman (1975–2017) whose work exhibited truth, beauty, freedom and love.
