Most known for her work as Lola on Hulu’s "Difficult People," Shakina can now be seen in the series finale of Amazon’s "Transparent." She also served as a producer, co-writer and co—lyricist for the “Musicale Finale” with Jill and Faith Soloway. Additional credits: Marvel’s "Jessica Jones" (Netflix) and "The Detour" (TBS). On Broadway: 24-Hour Plays, Red Bucket Follies. Off-Broadway: Masculinity Max at The Public Theater, Manuel Versus the Statue of Liberty (as Lady Liberty). Currently in development: her autobiographical glam rock odyssey, Manifest Pussy; JUNK, a rock opera conceived by the Swedish pop band Brainpool, and an original musical pilot with SMAC Entertainment.
