Ira Mont started out an actor but has been stage managing since 1987. Nineteen Broadway shows include: Mike Birbiglia’s The New One (currently), CATS (revival), Cinderella, Ghost the Musical, A Little Night Music (revival), The Producers, Love! Valour! Compassion!. Also Nerds, famously cancelled in rehearsal. Tours include: M. Butterfly, Fame: The Musical. Off-Broadway includes: Full Gallop, MTC, Playwrights Horizons, Vineyard. Regional includes: Jagged Little Pill at A.R.T., First Wives Club in Chicago, Pittsburgh Public, Westport/Cape/Ogunquit Playhouses. Directed Full Gallop at Philadelphia Theatre Company, Production Consultant for The Sound of Music in Australia, was Production Supervisor for MCC and a SMA past Chair. Adjunct Assistant Professor in Columbia’s MFA program. AEA Councillor since 1996, 3rd (SM) VP since 2003. Equity-League Benefit Plans Trustee. BC/EFA’s 1st VP. Brooklyn, NY native where he still lives with wife of 28 years, Jill Cordle (a Broadway SM). Appeared on HBO’s "Curb Your Enthusiasm," film debut in "The Producers."
