Friendship and Bravery: A Discussion of the Importance of Platonic Relationships in Fandom

What:
Discussion
When:
2:00 PM, Saturday 30 Jul 2016 (50 minutes)
This open discussion will tackle the role of platonic friendship in fandom: how we view same-sex friendships, the importance of their representation, and the need for increased queer representation in canon. Together we will delve into relationships from fandoms such as Harry Potter, Sherlock, Supernatural, Marvel, and Doctor Who to look behind the veil and ask what it really means to say “I Ship It.”
