Tracy Borman

Tracy Borman is a best-selling author and historian, specializing in British royal history. Her books include Elizabeth’s Women, Thomas Cromwell, The Private Lives of the Tudors and most recently Henry VIII and the Men Who Made Him. She has also written two historical novels, The King’s Witch and The Devil’s Slave.

Tracy studied and taught history at the University of Hull and was awarded a PhD in 1997. She went on to a successful career in heritage and is now Chief Executive of the Heritage Education Trust and Chief Curator of Historic Royal Palaces, the charity that manages Hampton Court Palace, the Tower of London, and Kensington Palace.

Tracy is a regular broadcaster and has presented four series inspired by her research into the private lives of people from the past. Her new series about Henry VIII will be broadcast by the Smithsonian Channel in summer 2020.
