Inside the White House: America's First Families

When:
12:40 PM, Sunday 5 Apr 2020 (1 hour)
Where:
Pasadena Convention Center - Lincoln (Ballroom FGH)

We draw back the drapes of the White House for a unique perspective on the public and private lives of the presidents, first ladies and their children. We’ll explore the evolution of the evolution of the role of first spouse, how these high-profile relationships have changed history and how our vision of the presidents reflects who we are as a nation.

Alexis Coe, author of You Never Forget Your First (a spirited new biography of George Washington), moderates this unique conversation with journalist Kate Andersen Brower, whose books explore the triumphs and tragedies of presidential families; Carl Sferrazza Anthony, the nation’s foremost expert on the first ladies and David Eisenbach, whose work focuses on the intersection of media and politics.
