Why No Official Tabletop RPG?

Despite numerous media tie-ins, there has never been an official Harry Potter tabletop roleplaying game. Fandoms such as Doctor Who, Marvel, and DC have been graced with them over the years. Is the world of HP not a good fit? Perhaps forum-based roleplay flows better? Have the fan-made products already scratched that itch? We will explore all of this, along with what a quality game would involve, and how to keep it out of the grips of She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Come on by to join in the discussion.
