The Role of Books in the Harry Potter Novels

The Harry Potter novels take place in a fully developed book culture - that is, they take place in a world in which people use and interact with books.  This presentation looks at the role of books in the Harry Potter novels.  Who uses books and how?  Who doesn’t?  What is the proper use of books and what are their limitations?  Who creates books?  When are books accurate and when are they inaccurate?  What impact do books have on people?
