Jane Bright is a PhD candidate in Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Arizona doing research on black holes. She was always intrigued by magic as a child and become a lifelong fan of the Harry Potter series when she was 7 years old. She decided she wanted to be an astrophysicist at the age of 11 when she did not receive her letter from Hogwarts. She is driven by curiosity to know and understand the mysteries of the universe, and as such is a Ravenclaw. She lives in Colorado with her fiancé and two cats, Vera and Andromeda.
