A roundtable discussion of what is means for something to be Canon in a multi-media universe and how the ways someone is exposed to them can influence and change the way they interpret characters, actions, and even the messages of various franchises. What is the place of the creator after their work has been released? What about content made by other creators within the same universe? From Harry Potter to Star Wars, these universes have so many people contributing- so which layers are Canon versus Fanon?
