When it comes to shipping, nearly every fandom has at least one: an enemies to lovers pairing. What is it about the enemies to lovers dynamic that makes it so popular? Is it the lure of “bad vs good,” the appeal of redemption, the challenge of bringing together two seemingly opposite individuals, or something else entirely? In this panel, we will discuss our own favorite enemies to lovers pairings, the stories and accompanying tropes they have inspired, and why so many people find the ETL dynamic irresistible.
