The early days of Harry Potter fandom centered on waiting for new official content. In recent years, however, new material from the author or Warner Bros. has often been met with ambivalence, annoyance, or even anger, while fan-made content tends to be warmly welcomed. Join MuggleNet staff for a series of polls and debates on the changing relationship between the Potter franchise and fandom, particularly following the announcement of a television series. Do fans still want official content? What stories would we want, in what form, and from whom? Does new content energize the fandom or tear us apart?
