“The last enemy that shall be defeated is death”—or is it? What can the Tale of the Three Brothers teach us about the nature of existential grief? How does Voldemort’s ultimate goal mirror the villainization of death in Western culture—and why is this view so dangerous? In this open exploration of mortality, we’ll explore the theme of death in the Harry Potter series and beyond through the lens of death positivity, and discuss how a healthy view of mortality benefits us and our society as a whole. This discussion is led by an INELDA-trained death doula, and may contain some mature existential themes. Open hearts encouraged!
