There are many parallels between the classic Yin Yang symbol and the sign of the Deathly Hallows. Both can be viewed as graphic representations of the balance of energies, equal and opposing, that exists in all of life. In this presentation, I will lead attendees to discover how each of the three elements of the Deathly Hallows: The Wand, The Resurrection Stone, and the Invisibility Cloak (much like or heroic Trio) can be specifically identified with human personality types and both traditional and non-traditional gender roles. We will divine this information not only from the specific objects' obvious shapes (...we all know what the Wizard Freud would say about the wand!) but also from their respective functions, from the manner in which each object is traditionally acquired and from their histories (including "The Tale of the Three Brothers"). Using artwork and graphic aids (and maybe even a few songs!) this presentation is designed to inspire us to embrace the Deathly Hallows symbol as an expression of our own deep understanding of human nature, gender identity and the forces of life itself!
