Janet is an Emmy-Nominated actor, writer, podcaster and producer. She can be heard as Korra on The Legend of Korra on Netflix; on Hulu, she stars as Evie in Stan Against Evil and as Becca on You’re the Worst. She’s also on Apple TV+’s Platonic opposite Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne. In the podcasting world, JV is honored to co-host Truth and Justice with Bob Ruff. She also hosts The JV Club with Janet Varney and Avatar: Braving The Elements. Onstage, she performs with Rachel Dratch, John Michael Higgins, Michael Hitchcock, Oscar Nunez and more as improv supergroup Theme Park, and alongside Paul F. Tompkins, Busy Philipps, Paget Brewster and more for The Thrilling Adventure Hour. Janet co-created “Neil’s Puppet Dreams” starring Neil Patrick Harris and is Co-Founder of one of the largest comedy festivals in North America: SF Sketchfest, now in its 20th year.
