The USA Basketball Coach License certification focuses on educating coaches while ensuring the safety of those with whom the coach may come in contact. The goal of coach licensing is to develop an inclusive basketball community of credible, qualified and dedicated coaches serving the basketball community in the United States. The certification clinic will cover two required sessions to earn a USA Basketball Coach License. The session imparts USA Basketball’s progressive player development philosophy to guide coaches on proper ways to instruct players on their basketball journey. Additionally, the session raises awareness of types of misconduct in basketball, using open dialogue to create a safe and supportive teaching and learning environment for players and coaches.
