Currently, Geoff serves as the managing director of academic and membership affairs where he oversees the Division I interpretations and legislative relief waiver areas. Geoff also coordinates the academic & membership affairs staff’s support of the Division I governance structure.

Prior to returning to the NCAA in 2016, Geoff led the College Sports Law Practice Group at Jackson Lewis P.C. At Jackson Lewis, Geoff represented member institutions, student-athletes and coaches in matters involving NCAA investigations, waivers and student-athlete eligibility. In addition, Geoff conducted athletics department program reviews, including audits of academic support services and provided advice and counsel to professional sports organizations on matters involving NCAA legislation.

Geoff previously worked at the NCAA national office in a variety of roles within AMA (director, associate director and assistant director) and with the Eligibility Center as the director of amateurism certification.

Geoff earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, his J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law and his M.S. in Sports Administration from the University of Michigan.
