Prior to joining the Broncos, he spent the previous five years as Head coach at the College of Idaho, leading them to a 129-42 record. During his 20 seasons in college basketball, Garson has been a part of 19 winning seasons, 17 postseason berths and 10 conference championships, including three straight Final 4 appearances during his time as an assistant at UCLA.
