Coach Turner just completed his 9^thseason as Head Men’s Basketball Coach of the UC Irvine Anteaters, where he has elevated the program to unprecedented success. He is the 2^ndwinningest coach in program history, and his teams have won 5 Big West Championships* (we will hopefully update this to 6 after our conference tournament next week) in his time at the helm, and he has been named Big West Coach of the Year twice* (should be three times after awards are given next week). A native of Roanoke, VA, Turner spent time as an assistant at Hampden Sydney College, Wake Forest, Stanford and with the NBA’s Golden State Warriors prior to being named to his post at UCI.
