Ralph Pim

Dr. Ralph Pim is an inspirational teacher, dynamic team builder, and author of nine books. He is recognized as a global expert in character and leader development through sport. Pim has developed leaders of character and built teams of significance as a teacher, coach, athletic administrator, and physical education chairperson. After serving as a Professor of Physical Education and Director of Competitive Sports for 12 years at the United States Military Academy at West Point, Pim is now sharing his experiences globally as a sport adviser and team consultant. He is currently working with Aktive Auckland Sport and Recreation, Sport New Zealand, and the University of Minnesota Women's Soccer Team. Pim has also worked with the Singapore Sports Council, PESTA, and St. Joseph's Institution.

At West Point, Dr. Pim created and implemented a values-based sports curriculum that received global recognition. The number of collegiate national championships tripled in 5 years, and a total of 36 national titles were won during his tenure. At the same time, grade point averages increased while disciplinary problems decreased. Dr. Pim and his staff were selected one of the "15 Most Influential Sports Education Teams in America" by the Institute for International Sport. In 2009, Dr. Pim was one of 12 educators chosen as a Sports Ethics Fellow by The Positive Coaching Alliance at Stanford University and the Institute for International Sport.

Prior to West Point, Dr. Pim was a professor and basketball coach at Limestone College, the College of William and Mary, Alma College, Central Michigan University, Northwestern State University, and Barberton H.S. Pim was inducted into the Limestone College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2007 and the Revere H.S. Alumni Hall of Fame in 2014.

Dr. Pim received his Bachelor of Science degree from Springfield College, Master of Arts degree from Ohio State University and Doctor in Education degree from Northwestern State University.
