Covering seven decades in coaching Del Harris Basketball career began in Indiana through the Public High Schools on into College leading to a remarkable 35 years in the NBA including Head Coach of the Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, and Los Angeles Lakers. His teams averaged over 50 wins per year, he was the 19th NBA Head Coach to win 500 NBA Games, and was named NBA Coach of the Year in 1995.  He served as a Head or Assistant Coach with numerous National Teams including the USA, Canada, China, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic which participated in the Olympics, and FIBA World Championships.  His co-authored book 'Attacking the Zone Defenses' by Del Harris & Ken Shields is considered one of the encyclopedias of Zone Offense.
