Matt Brock is in his fourth season as coach of the Missouri Baptist men’s basketball team. Inheriting a team that had won just 6 games in the previous year, Brock has directed the Spartans to an impressive turnaround, winning 87 games, an average of just under 22 wins per season. In its historical 2018-19 season, MBU started 20-0, won the AMC Conference Championship and won a record 28 games. Missouri Baptist was named NABC Team of the Week and was ranked as high as #3 in the country. MBU qualified for the NAIA tournament for the first time since 2005 and Brock was named Conference Coach of the Year.
