Darin’s current role is associate director of enforcement for agent certification. Previously, he served as an assistant director of enforcement in the basketball development group for five years. Before coming to the NCAA, Darin spent ten years as an employment law attorney in Columbus Ohio working for both Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur and Dinsmore & Shohl. Prior to attending law school, Darin taught and coached at Franklin Heights HS the South-Western City School district in central Ohio. Van Vlerin holds an undergraduate degree in Education from The Ohio State University and a law degree from Boston University School of Law.
