At her current position at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, Sam is responsible for the development and implementation of outreach programs that result from a community based pilot program. Sam began her career in animal welfare in 2007 working at a high volume spay neuter clinic in New Jersey and has since worked in a variety of veterinary settings as a technician. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Anthropology from Boston University. She conducted a study on models of Accessible Veterinary Care in the United States while earning her Masters of Science from Tufts University. Sam also spent four years working at an MSPCA shelter, where she developed an interest in cat behavior and community approaches to animal welfare. Sam routinely uses data analysis to support new programs and initiatives in manner areas of animal welfare.
