Deanna Nickels is the Canine College Manager at Our Companions Animal Rescue. She oversees the 70 plus volunteers in the dog training program and the Our Companion’s Canine College programs and classes.
She is also the owner of Give a Dog a Bone, LLC, a positive reinforcement family dog training business.Deanna is a graduate of Animal Behavior College. She has been a volunteer at Our Companions for 8 years prior to joining the staff.
Prior to dog training, Deanna spent many years training humans in Occupational Health and Safety and developing safety programs for manufacturing, hospitality and healthcare corporations. She lives with her husband, two teenage boys and one wonderful cocker spaniel named Moe.
