Surviving the Trenches of Adoption Counseling

“People just don’t listen!” “They want this pet, but they can’t handle it,” “How long until they return him?” If this describes how you feel about your adopters – then this workshop is for you! Together we will explore the many ways in which an adoption counseling session can prove to be a challenge; including tackling the barriers that can prevent open and positive dialogue with our adopters. Participants will walk away with an understanding of positive language techniques that lead to a successful placement for both human and pet.
