B.J. Rogers, CAWA, CDET, Chief Learning Officer, Emancipet

B.J. believes that hope – the belief that each of us has the power to make things better – is one of the most important strategies we have when it comes to making change. While fundraising for multiple sclerosis as a child, advocating for LGBTQ+ equality as a young professional, and serving as an animal welfare and access to veterinary care executive for the last 17 years, B.J. also cultivated a belief  in the power of learning to increase impact. 

 Since joining Emancipet in 2018, B.J. has guided a variety of efforts, including fundraising, marketing, PR, and Emancipet’s Resource Center. As Chief Learning Officer, B.J. currently leads Emancipet’s consulting and training services and assists in the design and implementation of the organization’s leadership development and healthy culture initiatives. Twice a nonprofit CEO, and a longtime trainer, B.J. is a Certified Animal Welfare Administrator, a Certified Dialogue Education Teacher, and holds a Certificate in Public Leadership from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
