Though we often say that the work of our organizations is to "make change," much of the work we do is more squarely aimed at "providing (or doing) good." What's the difference? Why does it matter? In this session we'll look at examples of programs that provide a social good, and at those that strive for social change. We'll explore the role of both in a healthy and supportive society, and identify which programs of our own fit into which category. And we'll consider the question, "What, really, is animal welfare out to accomplish?"
