This session will review behavior intervention plans for common behavior challenges in shelter dogs and cats. With high intake of pets and increased length of stay, there is an urgent need for comprehensive education in applied animal behavior science so that shelter teams can alleviate stress and increase live outcomes. Attendees can expect to leave this session with a robust understanding of animal behavior science protocols that can directly inform lifesaving interventions and preventative care.
