Credentials: KPA-CTP, CPDT-KA

Over the last 9 years Brittany has focused her behavior and training efforts on the relationship between companion animals and people, both in a shelter environment and in the home. She believes that providing support for community members, people and companion animals alike, is how we achieve higher levels of care in animal welfare. Brittany focuses on working with all shelter staff, volunteers, and community members to help give them the tools and knowledge needed to work with animals as a team. She was the Co-Director of Behavior & Training at Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society, the Training & Behavior Manager at the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, and is currently a Lead Instructor for the ASPCA’s Shelter Behavior Apprenticeship Program in the Learning Labs Department.
