It’s been more than 10 years since the Association of Shelter Veterinarians published the original Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters, a seminal document that is now considered the go-to resource for providing humane care in shelters and rescues. The newly-published, updated version of the document reflects ongoing advancements in our care for shelter animals. This session will introduce the Guidelines to attendees who are new to this resource, and highlight the critical, new information that can be found in this updated version.
