
Dr. Luna is an Emeritus Professor of English with 25 years of experience in higher education as a teaching professor, curriculum developer, administrator, and advisor. The first-born American citizen in her Filipino family, she earned her B.A. in English from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY, and her Ph.D. from SUNY-Albany. Dr. Luna has proudly served as CARE’s Dean of the Circle of Learning and Leadership since January 2023.

Let’s use real world examples of what it looks like when people can’t or don’t get needed medical care for their pets. We will examine cases and generate creative solutions to common barriers faced, then facilitate creative pathways of alternative approaches through REDI. These opportunities help increase awareness of barriers and motivate proactive steps to encourage inclusion of these communities. This results in increased preventive care, animal and human health, and pets staying home.
