This panel is for people who have special needs, parents and caregivers who want to open the world of cons to their charges, and those who have helpful ideas on how to make conventions more accessible. It is a round table discussion on what has worked in the past as well as what could work in the future. Cons are an excellent place to introduce people who are on the Autism spectrum or may have emotional disabilities to social lessons. Cons are also welcoming to people who physically or emotionally function different than most people. Topics covered would include self advocating for special needs, creating safe spaces and preparing your charge for the fun as well as the disregulation a con can create.
