Ruth Frey (aka Dame Ruth online) has spent over a decade involved in fandom and historical education, and is a founder of the Realms of Avalon medieval and renaissance nonprofit. Professionally, she works in a university neurobiology lab, and she still wants to write fiction when she grows up.
