
Doug Staudt has been an avid gamer since painting his first miniature in 1980. Doug has held several regional and global storytelling positions with the Minds Eye Society, a Live-Action Roleplaying (LARP) organization. It was also through the Minds Eye Society where Doug met his wonderful wife. Doug has been active in martial arts since before rolling his first character. He is currently practicing Aikido under the direction of Bruce Schmoetzer Sensei and naginata (Japanese polearm) under the direction of Bryce Harrop Sensei.
Doug also volunteers his summers as an amateur paleontologist with the Coyote Canyon Mammoth site, working with public relations and as a team lead for one of the excavation units uncovering the remains of a 17,500 year-old Columbian mammoth.
As if these were not enough, Doug is also an amateur photographer and filmmaker, having worked on at least fifteen short films. Several of these films have won awards at film festivals in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, London, Milan, and San Diego ComiCon, just to name a few.
