We all have muses, people who inspire us by pointing the way. Like dwarfs, we stand upon the shoulders of giants. My muses have been the great artists of the Sci-fi and comic book industry. My inspiration includes artists such as Alex Raymond, Wally Wood, Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby, Al William, Will Eisner, Fran Frazetta, Robert Crumb, and Bernie Wrightson. After a discussion their work. I will also show some of my art, and talk about my technique for creating expressive illustrations. I will also expand on why art is a wonderful career. A career, which allows me and many others, to explore ideas concerning the human condition, through sci-fi and comic book illustration.
