Going to Sessions

We have an amazing lineup of sessions available. Here is the information on attending your sessions.

  • To gain entry into your sessions, present your id badge to the facilitator at the door. They will scan it for entry.
  • Since many sessions fill up quickly, you will not be admitted to the session if you have not already registered for it. If a session is full, keep an eye on the app to see if it becomes available. There are no waiting list for sessions.
  • If you choose to not attend a session please go to the app and remove it from your schedule so someone else may attend.
  • With all the sessions available, it is hard to attend them all. We have set up a Google Drive where the presenter can upload their materials for you to access them. The link to the drive is: www.spacecenter.org/sessions

Tips for session success:

  • Bring your own device (laptop or tablet) – many sessions use technology for the session.
  • Get to your session on time.
  • If your session requires you to take a bus to get to it, make sure you arrive at the bus loading area 10 minutes prior to the session start time. Busses will not wait for everyone to arrive.
  • Bring a light jacket. Many of our rooms get a little chilly.

Cherri Brinley Educator Award

Space Center Houston would like to announce the annual Cherri Brinley Space Science Educator Award.

The award is in memory of a 14-year SEEC veteran who shared her passion for space science and inspired a multitude of educators and students around the nation. Brinley attended SEEC and many other Space Center Houston educational events for many years. All throughout her illness, she always maintained the same positive outlook and spirit. Brinley was an outstanding educator who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She had an infectious spirit that drove everyone around her to do their personal best and to strive for greatness. The Cherri Brinley Award was created to celebrate other teachers who have the same drive and inherent spirit which always kept Cherri reaching for the moon.

Many nominations have been received for this year’s Outstanding Educator Award.

NASA Tour Information

Important! Please read carefully.

Your visit to NASA Johnson Space Center is a special event. You will enter working facilities subject to strict safety and security policies. Please follow the direction of your host escort at all times.

  • It is essential that all members of the group stay together and not venture away from their NASA escort. Wandering into restricted areas constitutes a security violation and could result in the termination of your visit.
  • Your visit will require walking and standing for extended periods and may involve climbing several flights of stairs. Guests should wear comfortable, flat, fully enclosed shoes (no high heels, sandals, flip-flops, slides, mules, Crocs, etc.) during their visit. We also recommend that guests wear slacks (instead of shorts or skirts) as an additional safety precaution.
  • Cameras are welcome in all facilities unless instructed otherwise. However, flash photography or photography of individuals is not permitted.
