This workshop aims to provide educators with a hands-on experience that immerses them in the fascinating world of rockets, different rocket fuels, and the core principles behind space exploration. **Workshop Overview:** Duration: 2 hours Objective: To introduce educators to key NASA principles while engaging them in an interactive experiment involving rocket fuels and rocket design. **NASA Principles Covered:** 1. **Propulsion:** Educators will explore the concept of propulsion through hands-on experiments with different rocket fuels. This principle is essential for understanding how spacecraft are propelled through space. 2. **Gas Expansion and Pressure:** Participants will gain insight into the importance of gas expansion and pressure as they experiment with various fuel sources. This fundamental principle directly impacts the behavior of gases in space travel. 3. **Rocket Design:** The activity involving the construction of rockets out of everyday materials reflects NASA's emphasis on innovative engineering and design for successful space missions.
