For LGBT people, media is a very important outlet. Finding characters and stories that are relatable is often critical to developing one’s identity and creating acceptance. We examine cultural ideas, representation, and experiences that tie anime and the LGBT community deeply.
Anime is an important platform for LGBT representation in media, but video games transcend the screen, making the player part of the story. These immersive worlds are a unique way to showcase LGBT characters and issues. Join us as we discuss these issues, as well as how Eastern and Western games portray them.
